     Major goal of the Bar Manager is to ensure a smooth running of the department on a day to day basis. Person assigned to this position must have the ability to co-ordinate and delegate responsibility to his/her Assistants Bar Manager.

     His/hers responsibilities include training new employees; planning, assigning and directing tasks. Bar Manager handles and resolves complaints regarding the beverage operation. He/she must posses a full knowledge of the entire beverage operation such as cocktails recipes and service standards. A sound knowledge in wines and inventory control is compulsory.

     An applicant must be familiar with all the ship's activities and hours of operations, as well as with the ship's rules and regulations. He/she must have a pleasant and courteous personality and fluent English language skills. An additional language is an advantage.
