THE OPPORTUNITY: The Maintenance Foreman will be responsible for the coordination of all of the area maintenance activities relating to rotating equipment and control systems while maintaining an environmentally safe and cost effective work environment. The role will interact and coordinate daily with area staff tradesman as well as contract tradesmen, and operating staff to execute maintenance work.  The position will also ensure all areas’ wells and facilities are properly maintained to operational and regulation standards, and will minimize downtime by trouble-shooting equipment reliability problems. HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK? • Monitor run time of all rotating, instrument and electrical equipment, working closely with operations staff to maximize uptime performance • Plan all facility maintenance and train personnel on equipment operations • Manage as and assist in developing the area operating and capital budgets, and prepare AFEs for special projects • Ensure cost effective solutions to maintenance problems are evaluated and implemented • Organize and attend field meetings; complete annual evaluations for subordinates;  attend supervisory meetings QUALIFICATIONS: • Typically 2+ years of related industry experience with Grade 12 or GED • Familiarity with and understanding of:    o Working in a maintenance, operations or EHS role    o Developing operations/maintenance plans    o Safety standards and environmental regulations    o Budget preparation    o Time management tools (i.e. planners, computers); breaking down tasks/projects into workable segments    o Leading a team    o Relevant software (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook,Scada) HEALTH AND SAFETY: At Canadian Natural, safety is a core value.
